Sightseeings Yellowstone Park
Old Faitful Geyser
The largest geyser in the park is Old Faithful, every hour this geyser blows the air for about 5 minutes. An exuberant spectacle that you want to see fot sure.
Animals in Yellowstone
In addition to geysers and beautiful water sources, Yellowstone national park also has many animals. Think of wild animals such as pelicans, swans, wolves, bison, elk, deer and bears.
Beautiful hot springs in Yellowstone include the Grand Prismatic, Rainbow Pool, Morning Glory Pool and the Emerald Pool. These sources are bright blue or green in color with yellow and orange details.
Upper Geyser Basin
Besides the Old Faithful geyser you will find many other geysers in Yellowstone. The most beautiful geysers after Old Faithful are Grand Geyser, Daisy Geyser, Castle Geyser and the Riverside Geyser.
Upper and Lower falls
These waterfalls can be found on the North Rim Drive. Especially in the spring these waterfalls are beautiful, in this season there is the most water. You can view the lower falls from the lookout point.

Fly to Yellowstone
To fly to Yellowstone you can choose several airports. Salt Lake City is the largest airport in the area, but is a 5-hour drive from Yellowstone. Cody and Jackson are closer, but a plane ticket can then be more expensive. Yellowstone is accessible via five main entrances:
Northern entrance – at Gardiner in the south of Montana on the US-89 (accessible via the I-90). Open all year.
Northeast entrance – at Silver Gate and Cooke City. On the US-212 (also accessible from I-90) on the border between Wyoming and Montana. East of Cooke City, the road to Yellowstone is closed from October – November to April – May.
Eastern entrance – accessible from Cody (Wyoming). Closed from November to the beginning of May.
South entrance – north of Grand Teton National Park on US-89, accessible from Jackson. Closed from the beginning of November to the beginning of May.
West entrance – at West Yellowstone in Montana on the US-20 (accessible from I-15 and US-287). Closed from the beginning of November to the end of April.
Best travel time for Yellowstone
Best time for a tour around Yellowstone is the period from May to September. Most chances are you have bears in May and June, but then many hiking trails are still closely connected with snow. From July you can walk everywhere, but you want to avoid the crowds, then travel in September. Best time for wildlife is therefore May and June – Walking September.
